Course Description

During the ten-month program at CBI Kaua‘i, students study the entire Bible. From Genesis to Revelation. Verse by verse. The objective is to develop a clear, comprehensive understanding of Scripture and its application to pastoral ministry.

Instruction is delivered through two primary formats:

Block Classes
Pastors from Kaua‘i, Mainland, and all over the world teach intensive, week-long courses. Most classes focus on in-depth study of individual books of the Bible. Students also complete a Hawaiian Missions course that provides historical, cultural, and spiritual context for ministry on the island.

Bible Survey
Students work through Pastor Chuck Smith’s Through the Bible (C3000) audio series. This reinforces a complete, book-by-book understanding of Scripture and models faithful expository teaching.

In addition to biblical instruction, students participate in weekly Pastoral Ministry and Women in Ministry classes taught by the pastor and pastor’s wife of Calvary Chapel Lihu‘e. These classes focus on the Pastoral Epistles and examine biblical models of leadership from both the Old and New Testaments, equipping students for faithful, servant-hearted ministry.
